New Home 10-Year Warranty

At Hodson Developments we work side by side with Premier Guarantee throughout every stage of the construction of your new home. Premier Guarantee is one of the UK’s leading providers of structural warranties and insurance services to the housebuilding industry with over 2,500 housebuilders registered. You will be purchasing your new home in complete confidence that it has been inspected regularly throughout every stage of its construction, from the design stage to build completion, by one of Premier Guarantee’s independent, fully qualified and experienced building surveying inspectors.

Our homes are always built to exceed the very latest UK Building Regulations standards and to Premier Guarantee’s technical manual, the technical benchmark for all new build homes. The standards provide guidance on every part of the building process from external structural foundations to internal decoration including tolerances, performance and technical standards.

Once your new home is complete, the building inspector from Premier Guarantee will walk around the property, examining it in detail and making sure it has been built to perfect order in what is called the Final Independent Inspection. Upon passing the home, Premier Guarantee will issue a 10-year New Homes Warranty, of which, we will pass on to your solicitor upon exchange of contracts. Inside you’ll find details of the guarantee, including the date on which it becomes effective.

In addition to these independent building inspections our in house Building Managers inspect all of our properties daily and at key stages throughout the construction process.

At Hodson Developments we build to only the very highest of United Kingdom construction standards and building regulations. We only ever use UK based industry renowned architects, engineers and contractors to design and build all of our homes.

The cover offered by the Premier Guarantee 10-Year New Homes Warranty has two stages:

1. An initial guarantee period which extends for two years from the start date of the New Homes Warranty (date you purchase you home) and provides for the putting right of any defect or damage to your home caused by faulty workmanship or materials.

2. A structural guarantee period which extends for the full 10 years of your New Homes Warranty. This insures you against major damage due to a defect in the structure or damage to the drainage system caused by non-compliance with building regulation technical requirements.

The Premier Guarantee 10 Year New Homes Warranty is fully transferrable, which means that should you sell your property before the expiry of cover, the New Homes Warranty will transfer to the new homeowner.
